Amphitheatrum
Castrense
Rome
When stone was too expensive, the Romans built Corinthian capitals with special bricks. This small amphitheatre was used to train both gladiator and beast for the games in the Coliseum. It survives only because it became part of  the hastily built walls of Rome. The metal strap is a modern preservation measure.
