Pantheon:

Rome
1st Century B.C.

This is the order on the little known rear decorations of the Pantheon in Rome. This is actually part of the bath once next to the Pantheon. The replacement capital was installed in the 19th century when houses built next to the Pantheon were demolished.  The carving is simplified and patches on the entablature added for support are visible. These fragments, dating from the time of Agrippa, were restored to their original locations.
